Our Mission

Logan Koontz Sports

Our History

The Mission of The Ll12 Foundation is to raise money for student athletes.  The foundation awards scholarships, camp fees, equipment, and other request as appropriate to students who apply. 


Logan was an avid athlete who loved all sports. He was an amazing football player, a nationally ranked track runner, a basketball player, lacrosse player, swimmer, and baseball player.

 Logan Scott Koontz died in a tragic car accident leaving the Tabb High School’s Homecoming Dance on October 26, 2019. Logan was a sophomore at Tabb High with a bright future ahead of him. He was a Student Athlete with passion and drive matched by very few. He was a compassionate young man and always did his best to include everyone. He loved life, sports, clubs, church, and family.

Varsity Football Player Freshman year ~one of two to make the Varsity team

Varsity Football Player Sophomore year ~starting wide receiver/safety

JV Basketball Player Freshman Year and made the Varsity team Sophomore year

Varsity Track Runner Freshman year Nationally ranked as 12th in the 800 ~All state 4X800 ~All State 4x400 ~All State 800

Hampton 300 Crab Bowl MVP for Hampton 300

Canes Baseball Team and REVO Baseball Team

Middle School baseball, basketball, football – champions/runner ups

Grafton Tabb Football Player from 6 years old until 8th grade – won super bowl

Yorktown Titans Lacrosse Player until 8th grade – won champion tournament 

YCLL 6 years old until 6th grade. All Star team went to states

Tabb Tiger shark swim team. Marlbank mud toads swim team. Coventry Sailfish Swim Team

Clubs

Key Club/Y Street/Unified Tigers/FBLA/Relay for life

Academics

Logan took advanced classes and maintained his GPA. His goal was to attend the University of Florida to be a Gator. He was open to other college options as long as he had a chance to play football or run track. He talked about going to Old Dominion to be a Navy Seal or JAG officer. 

Scholarship Requirements

2.5 GPA recommended JROTC program participate a plus

Must show how you live life like Logan did: dedicated, loyal, loving, competitive 

Please attach your resume along with a one-page essay explain how you embrace life through living each day to your fullest as Logan did. Include how sports, family, clubs, church, etc. impact you. Application Due Date: April 12, 2023. please email to michellekoontz.22@verizon.net
